Dr. Mohammed Zahirul Islam is a senior general physician with over 20 years of clinical experience across hospital medicine, field medicine, anesthesiology, and primary care.
He holds an MBBS from Cumilla Medical College (University of Chittagong, 2004) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from NIPSOM, University of Dhaka (2009). He is certified in Clinical Diabetes (CCD, BIHS) and holds a Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU, BTEB), covering abdominal and obstetric/gynaecological sonography.
Dr. Islam served as a Medical Doctor with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) from 2006 to 2008, delivering field and clinical care in challenging humanitarian settings. He subsequently worked as Medical Officer in Anesthesiology & ICU at Enam Medical College Hospital, Dhaka (2014–2019), and as Medical Officer in Paediatric Surgery at Dr. M. R. Khan Shishu Hospital, Mirpur, Dhaka (2011–2013).
He has additional postgraduate training in Gynae & Obs (Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital) and completed an Interventional Pain Management Fellowship in New Delhi. Known for a patient-centred approach — clear communication, evidence-based treatment, and compassionate care.
