1. Nature of This Service

Lurnel Clinic provides a platform for remote medical consultation via video call and in-person chamber visits. This is a genuine clinical service delivered by a licensed physician registered with the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC).

2. Limitations of Online Consultation

Online video consultations have limitations compared to an in-person visit:

  • Physical examination is not possible remotely (except visual inspection)
  • The doctor cannot auscultate heart/lungs, palpate the abdomen, or check reflexes
  • Diagnosis is based on the history you provide, which must be accurate and complete
  • Some conditions require in-person assessment and cannot be managed remotely

The doctor may decline to manage a condition online and may refer you for an in-person visit or specialist review.

3. Emergency Situations

This service is not for emergencies. If you have any of the following, call 999 or go directly to the nearest emergency department immediately:

  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Difficulty breathing at rest
  • Sudden severe headache
  • Sudden weakness in face, arm, or leg
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Suspected poisoning or overdose
  • Severe allergic reaction

4. Prescription Policy

  • Prescriptions are issued only after a proper consultation. We do not issue prescriptions without a consultation
  • Controlled substances (opioids, benzodiazepines) are not prescribed via online consultation
  • Prescriptions are for your use only and must not be shared
  • The doctor may require lab results or specialist notes before prescribing certain medications

5. AI Symptom Checker Disclaimer

The symptom checker chatbot on this website is an AI-powered tool for general guidance only. It:

  • Does NOT provide medical diagnoses
  • Does NOT replace a consultation with the doctor
  • May be incorrect or incomplete — never act on chatbot advice alone for serious symptoms
  • Is designed to help you decide whether to book an appointment, not to treat yourself

6. Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your symptoms and medical history. Incorrect information may lead to incorrect treatment. The doctor is not liable for outcomes resulting from information you knowingly withheld or misrepresented.

7. Second Opinion

You have the right to seek a second medical opinion at any time. We encourage this for serious or complex conditions.

8. Regulatory Compliance

This service operates in compliance with the laws of Bangladesh, including the Medical Practice and Private Clinics and Laboratories (Regulation) Ordinance 1982 and applicable BMDC regulations. Notifiable diseases are reported to relevant authorities as required by law.

9. Feedback and Complaints

If you are unsatisfied with the care you received, please contact us at contact@lurnel.com. You also have the right to report concerns to the BMDC or the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Bangladesh.
